ABOUT US

Central Interior Trades & Apprenticeship Centre (CITAC) programs and services are open to all Canadians and/or those eligible to work in Canada.

CITAC is a sector of Central Interior Partners in Aboriginal Human Resource Development (CIPAHRD). CIPAHRD’s mandate is to serve three nations, the Secwepemc, Nlaka’pamux and St’at’imc.  Our geographic service area includes 30 First Nations organizations.

OUR MISSION

CITAC (Central Interior Trades & Apprenticeship Centre) is a regional organization that will champion the trades and technologies as a career choice for Canadians. We will work with all Canadians, both First Nations and non-First Nations to empower them to reach their full potential and become a highly skilled workforce in trades and technology.

MANDATE

The CITAC centre will assist unemployed individuals who are legally entitled to work in Canada, in the Kamloops area including clients from Chase, Merritt, Lillooet, Lytton, Salmon Arm, Ashcroft, Barriere and Clearwater.

We have trades consultants who provide outreach services to the Merritt, Lillooet, Lytton, Salmon Arm, Barriere and Kamloops area. To meet with a trades’ consultant the first step is to meet with an Employment Counselor in your area to develop a RTWAP. The Employment Counselor will refer to CITAC so that we can work with the client to develop a trade career action plan.
